Our private guided safaris allow you to experience your selection of the splendours of Namibia with a talented and knowledgeable guide. We believe that our guides play a key role in enhancing your holiday of a lifetime, therefore our guides are selected for their enthusiasm, infectious personalities, and dedication, as well as in depth knowledge of the country.

Following is what we would describe as a "Classic" Namibian safari, covering much of the best that Namibia has to offer. Approximately two to three weeks is required for this adventure. We begin by taking visitors through the Khomas Hochland to the spectacular dunes at Sossusvlei in the Namib Desert, and from here we can also include a visit to the stunning and vast private Nature Reserve at Namib Rand. Continuing to the coast, we visit the Lagoon at Walvis Bay to see the unusual mixture of pelicans, flamingos and sea-birds then go on to stay at the quaint Colonial coastal resort of Swakopmund.

Day 1 - Olive Grove Guesthouse Windhoek
Arrive, overnight in Windhoek at Olive Grove Guesthouse, a pleasant and very welcoming place to begin your holiday.

Days 2 & 3 - Sesriem / Sossusvlei
Head south to the magnificent Namib Naukluft Park and towering "apricot coloured" dune fields for a two night stay at one of the well appointed lodges in the area. Explore the area with your guide including a day trip into Sossusvlei, Deadvlei and return to your lodge via Sesriem Canyon. Ballooning over the Namib Naukluft Park is a recommended inclusion on your last morning in the desert. (Option to continue south for a two night stay on the Namib Rand Nature Reserve, one of the most scenic and solitary areas in Namibia).

Days 4 & 5 - Hansa Hotel Swakopmund
Continue on to the coast where you will visit Walvis Bay lagoon, take a dolphin and seal boat cruise to see the marine mammal and bird life. Recommended accommodation is at the colonial style Hansa Hotel in Swakopmund. The seaside town of Swakopmund offers many attractions from shops, side-walk cafes, museums to various adventure activities such as sand boarding, quad biking in the dunes, fishing and skydiving. A seafood dinner at the Tug Restaurant on the jetty is an excellent addition to your time in Swakopmund.

Days 6 & 7 - Mowani Mountain Camp Damaraland
Taking the coastal road north you visit Cape Cross and the cape fur seal colony en-route inland to Damaraland, an area known for it's stunning landscapes. Here there is the option of a wilderness experience in our mobile camp, or a stay at the luxurious Mowani Mountain Camp. These two days will involve searching the area along the Aba-Huab and Huab River beds for desert adapted game such as the elusive desert elephant, and visiting attractions such as the Twyfelfontein rock engravings, Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipe rock formations.

Days 8 & 9 - Epupa Extension or Hobatere Lodge, Hobatere Concession bordering western Etosha National Park
(For a longer safari we will take you further north into the Palmwag Concession, Kaokoland - home of the Himba tribe, and up to Epupa Falls on the Angolan border. This will require an additional 4 to 5 nights).

Alternatively we head for Etosha National Park and stay the following two nights on the Hobatere Concession which is located on the western boundary of Etosha. Hobatere offers great game viewing opportunities in a rustic and homely setting. Activities include a guided walk, day and night game drives to see both diurnal and nocturnal animals and game viewing from the hide by their waterhole.

Days 10 & 11 - Okaukuejo Restcamp, Etosha National Park
Entering into Western Etosha we cross through a restricted research area closed to general traffic. This takes us to the edge of the famous Etosha Pan and back into the general area of the Park where we stay at Okaukuejo Restcamp in bungalow accommodation. Your guide will cater for your meals, and the evenings are spent by the restcamp's floodlit waterhole. Game driving to spot the wide range of animal and bird life species is the focus of your time in Etosha.

Days 12 & 13 - Okonjima Lodge, Waterberg
Your next destination is southwards down to Okonjima Lodge situated in the Waterberg Region. Working in conjunction with the Africat Foundation, Okonjima is a special place where you will learn about the rehabilitation and research programme of Africa's big cats and be treated to close encounters with these beautiful creatures. To top it all off, the warmth and comfort of the lodge provides an even more memorable stay.

Day 14 - Depart
From Okonjima it is only a 3 hour drive south to Windhoek. You can opt for an afternoon flight home and still have time to stop at Okahandja's open air craft and curio market, or return for a final night in Windhoek before departing home on day 15.
