All our guides
and camp staff have been personally hand picked and trained to the
highest level by us to ensure a level of professionalism and expertise
that you would expect on a SandyAcre Safari. Our lead guides and
their camp support team have all been with SandyAcre Safaris since
1996. It goes without saying that they know exactly what a "True
African Safari" is all about. Not only are our guides highly qualified,
but each has a specific area of expertise. Together they possess
a veritable treasure trove of knowledge and are always up to the
challenge of answering questions and satisfying the particular interests
of each of our guests.
Our guides
are regularly updated in their training to give First Aid assistance
as required and we carry a comprehensive medical pack with each
vehicle. In the event of a medical emergency when further back up
is required, we can call in a professional air ambulance service
to carry out an evacuation back to a hospital in Windhoek.

Penny
Scott
Penny
always goes that extra mile to make sure that her guests get the
most out of their safaris, and she has a flair for coaxing the 'adventure'
out of even the most conservative traveller. With a Masters Degree
in Zoology, Penny is able give a unique insight into the living
world, and her passion for photography makes her an excellent companion
for those seeking that special "photographic opportunity".

Uanee Karuuombe
Uanee
was trained as a tracker with Save-the-Rhino Trust and has since
developed into a very knowledgeable and experienced National guide.
He is one of the few trained Himbas employed as professional tour
guides, and he has a delightful 'British' sense of humour. If your
interests are cultural, who better to take you to local villages
and explain traditional customs and rituals.

Ian Coulson
Ian
has been an outstanding mobile safari guide since 1994 and has been
recognised for his excellence in the field. He has a passion for
following the road less travelled and loves exploring the wilderness
areas of the country where few others venture. He is happiest when
camping in remote areas, sitting around a campfire and sharing his
love of the outdoors with his guests. A true bush enthusiast!

The Crew
The support
team of Petrus, Johnny, Rodney and Nyathi are the
engine room of our camping safaris. Working quietly behind the scenes
to ensure the beds are freshly made, the shower's hot and that the
gin and tonics are cold!!
